An Infant has primarily two types of development. Emotion and social. During emotional development, "the bond between the child and caregiver, the child's temperament, and the atmosphere of the home are the most important influences". I believe that this is because who takes care, teaches and loves the child, will shape the infant to who it becomes as it grows up. The care giver, will influence the infant in every way possible. For example, if the care giver is always stressed and worried all the time, the infant will more than likely, grow up to be the same way. During social development, the infant will learn through imitation. The care giver must SHOW what to do is right or wrong. As the infant grows, games such as peek-a-boo and dancing, will help baby grow through play.
